Buchi Kombucha: Growing Home – Episode 2

The first kombucha brewery in the Southeast

In 2019, Buchi repurposed what was once a tomato-packing plant for use as a full-fledged kombucha brewery – the first of its kind in the Southeast! Our new brewery is powered by solar panels; houses its own lab; and, best of all, allows us to meet the demands of our community by making the best-tasting, highest-quality kombucha we can - on a large scale! We’ve also become a Safe Quality Food - SQF - certified facility, ensuring that our operations meet the highest standards of food production safety and quality.

As our business has grown and expanded, so have our roots. We are proud to be a part of the Marshall and Asheville communities, and thankful for our team - now nearly 100 strong! We keep the products we make and the people who make them close to our hearts, and we believe in using our resources as a force for good – to protect our planet and to support the well-being of as many people as we can.

Watch Episode 2 to see our new brewery and join us as we continue to innovate and look towards the future.
